Marilyn Thayer or Lyn, as she is known in the Liberty Village community, has an Associate Degree in Culinary Arts and has been an Advisory Committee member of the Southwest Wisconsin Technical College (SWTC) Culinary Program since 2017. She is a certified ServSafe Food Protection Manager by the National Restaurant Association. Lyn was born and raised in the Philippines and has been living in Wisconsin since 2006. She has served and worked in hospital kitchen and various retirement and nursing home kitchens since 2015. Her passion for food and cooking extends beyond her job as she is also blogging about recipes and healthy food choices during her spare time. Lyn has one daughter Natasha, who graduated with two degrees in 2016 at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. Lyn is very excited to share her cooking skills and culinary knowledge with the residents and employees of Liberty Village.
